Who We Are

Wadesboro Fire Department

The Wadesboro Fire Department is a dedicated and professional combination department serving the Town of Wadesboro and surrounding communities with integrity, compassion, and excellence. Our department comprises 7 full-time staff members, 1 part-time staff member, and 35 volunteers, all committed to protecting life, property, and the environment.

We are a full-service fire and rescue department, proudly recognized as a Heavy Rescue Provider by the N.C. Association of Rescue & E.M.S., Inc., and rated as a Class 5 ISO department through the North Carolina Department of Insurance. The Wadesboro Fire Department delivers a comprehensive range of emergency services, including fire suppression, rescue operations, and disaster preparedness. Our highly trained personnel are equipped to manage complex incidents, including structural fires, vehicle accidents, technical rescues, and hazardous material emergencies. With a strong commitment to public safety, our team responds with precision, professionalism, and care, always ready to protect our community when it matters most.

Beyond emergency response, we actively engage in fire prevention education and community outreach. We proudly collaborate with local organizations such as the Anson County Partnership for Children and NC Safe Kids to promote safety initiatives, including child passenger safety. In 2025, we celebrated the certification of seven new Child Passenger Safety Technicians, a milestone that enhances our ability to serve families and protect our youngest residents.

With deep roots in tradition and a commitment to progress, the Wadesboro Fire Department continues to grow and adapt to meet the evolving needs of our community. We are more than just emergency responders; we are neighbors, educators, and advocates for safety. Available 24/7, our team stands ready to respond, support, and serve with professionalism, teamwork, and a strong sense of responsibility. Whether it’s a fire call, a rescue operation, or a community event we’re here for Wadesboro, every day, every hour.
