For more than 108 years, the Wadesboro Fire Department has proudly served our community with courage, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to public safety. While much has changed since our founding, including the tools we use, the challenges we face, and the scope of our responsibilities, one thing remains constant, and that’s our dedication to protecting the lives and property of our citizens, businesses, and visitors.

Our department is made up of everyday people who have chosen to do extraordinary work. These servants, who are mainly volunteers, demonstrate pride, honor, and integrity in everything they do, whether responding to emergencies, educating the public, or training for the next challenge. Today’s firefighters are more versatile than ever, responding not only to fires but also to hazardous materials incidents, technical rescues, and natural disasters.

Thanks to the continued support of our citizens and elected officials, our facilities, equipment, and staffing reflect a commitment to excellence. We are proud to be a modern, forward-thinking department that embraces innovation while honoring our rich history.
